Subject: SHARE: Winter Career Readiness Week(s) 3&4
Welcome back to campus, Career Readiness Champions! UO’s Winter Career Readiness Week is just around the corner (Weeks 3 & 4) and we appreciate your help getting the word out to colleagues and students! We’ve spread out the events into two weeks to give students ample time to polish up their resumes and build their confidence to engage in new ways!
In addition to the email sample below, you can find graphics for social media and digital displays for the week and specific events, along with a pdf and Word doc version of this email with clickable links that you can easily copy/paste the most relevant events into Canvas or departmental newsletters and social media. If there’s a file type you need you can’t find, just let me know! OR if you’d like physical fliers or posters to put up in your spaces!
W25 CRW Promo(your one stop shop for graphics, descriptions, and more!)
W25 UCC Event Slides for Presentations or DD.pptx (promo ready to go for ppts & digital displays)
W25 Career Readiness Week Schedule w Links.docx (list of all the event descriptions with links easy to copy/paste!)
ALSO, we have a new 90 second “commercial” that explains what all the UCC can help students with—if you’ve got a class you can share with, this is a great introduction to all things career at the UO 🙂 OR if you’d like to have a student career ambassador come and talk to your class/group sometime, please connect with us and we’ll send along one of our all stars!
FYI: If you have departmental career-related events going on during CRW that you would like to be included, you can add it to the UO Calendar and mark the event type as “Career” to be added to the UCC calendar! Or you can add it to Handshake for students to see there too!
OR if you’re looking for ways to turn the Winter Career & Internship Expo into a career readiness learning activity you can do with students, check out our Expo Scavenger Hunt Activity EXTRA CREDIT EDITION.pdf where students can navigate the expo and have quality conversations with employers. They can print (or we’ll have lots at the event) and bring back to you/take a picture of it to get credit for actively participating!
Please, share these opportunities with your students in the weeks ahead. We are confident they will benefit from participating. If you have any questions, please let me know.
Your friends at the University Career Center appreciate your support and collaboration.
Thank you & Go Ducks!
