All text on this flyer is included in the email body.

Hi All,

We are happy to announce an exciting Disability Studies event: Disability and Advocacy in Action.

Disability Activist and UO alum Ming Canaday will give a lecture and Q&A on MONDAY MAY 5, 2025 at 4:30 P.M. CHAPMAN HALL, RM 220

Through compelling storytelling and real-world case studies, Canaday will examine how narratives around disability shape public perception and policy decisions.

Disability advocacy is not just about fighting for accommodations. It’s about reimagining the systems that determine who belongs.

Sponsors for this event include Disability Studies; Department of English; IRES; Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies; and the AEC.
